Why is Certification Important?
Certification of organisations' management systems against international standards gives purchasers, shareholders and stakeholders confidence that the organisation submitted itself to external (third party) scrutiny and benchmarking against the requirements of the assessment criteria. It is important that the organisation carrying out a third party assessment is totally independent of the organisation being assessed and can demonstrate independence, impartiality and integrity ('the three Is').
